Concentric
The work investigates relation as a system: behavior never belongs to a single agent, but emerges from the entanglements it is part of. It holds many questions, and answers as well — though each answer resolves into further questions. It is a system; a behavior.
…and being in it is all there is.
This is a first prototype of the installation: cross-coupled feedback systems and a suspended steel plate.
Does every signal land somewhere? Somehow, "positive" is the word that returns.
Here: one system ducks or filters its output when the incoming signal gets too loud; the other adds gain until it crosses a threshold and cuts. (Almost. Always.) The system doesn't just cut once: it can't stay. The peak that pulls it also triggers the cut.
Each system "regulates" itself according to the other's intensity, but never its own.
Do you believe that what systems send out just dissolves, arrives nowhere? If not, what was returning, not settling but amplifying?
